The Firebird Project team is happy to announce that download kits for the first V.2.1 release candidate are now available — Windows and Linux 32-bit and 64-bit platforms now, MacOSX soon. You are invited to test it furiously and report your experiences (good or bad) back to the Firebird-devel list. As always, please be patient if the files you want haven't made it out to the mirrors at your first attempt.
The ports of Firebird 2.0.3 Superserver and Classic for MacOSX have been rebuilt with a fix for a Services Manager issue. New builds for Classic and Superserver x86 are available via the Firebird 2.0.3 Downloads page. Rebuilds for PowerPC will appear soon.
Jaybird 2.1.2 is released. It is a bugfix release that targets two main issues, JDK 6.0 compatibility and support for INSERT...RETURNING statements. More info at the JDBC Driver page.

The Firebird Project team is pleased to announce the release of Firebird 1.5.5. This bug-fix release adds no new features but addresses a few bugs and security issues that have turned up in the 11 months since v.1.5.4.
